OpenProject hosting: plan projects on your own server.
Tasks, planning and hours in one place. We install OpenProject and make sure it keeps running.
Short answer
OpenProject is project management software: tasks, Gantt planning, agile boards, time and cost tracking, meetings and a wiki per project. It suits fixed plans and sprints alike. We host OpenProject in the Netherlands on our own hardware, and take care of updates, backups and monitoring. It can replace Jira, Microsoft Project or Asana.
Which work, which tool
| You work like this | Then in OpenProject you use |
|---|---|
| With a fixed plan and dependencies | A Gantt plan with tasks that follow each other |
| In sprints, with a backlog | Agile boards with columns and cards |
| By hours and budget | Time and cost tracking per task or project |
| With regular meetings | Meetings with an agenda and minutes in the project itself |
| With knowledge that belongs to the project | A wiki per project |
One project environment can handle both ways of working. A team plans the broad lines in Gantt and works out the execution on a board.
Next to Nextcloud and JevanaHub
OpenProject has an integration with Nextcloud, the base of JevanaHub. Files that belong to a task can then be opened and shared straight from the project, without mailing them.
Honest about the editions: OpenProject has a free Community edition and a paid Enterprise edition with extra features. We start with the Community edition. If you need a feature that only exists in Enterprise, we say so and it goes into the proposal.

Questions
What kind of teams is OpenProject suited to?
Teams that plan and carry out projects, in construction, at an installer, in IT or at an agency. It combines a plan with tasks, boards and hours, so you do not need three packages side by side. For a team that only wants to keep a list of tasks it is more than necessary. We would tell you so.
Can OpenProject replace Jira?
For many teams it can. You have tasks, boards, a backlog and reporting. What differs is the environment around it: Jira has a large range of extensions and integrations with other tools from the same maker. If you depend heavily on those, first look at what you use. We go through that with you beforehand.
What is the difference between the Community and Enterprise editions?
The Community edition is free and open source, and contains the core: tasks, planning, boards, time tracking and more. The Enterprise edition adds features that exist only in that version, paid to the maker. We start with Community. Which Enterprise feature you are missing, you hear from us before you decide on it.
Can clients or outside parties follow along in our projects?
Yes. You can add outside people to a project, with permissions you set yourself: view only, comment on tasks, or edit too. They only get access to the projects you invite them to. That way a client can follow progress without reaching the rest of your organisation.
