Your data is in a data centre in Hengelo.
Not in Dublin, not in Virginia. In Twente, on servers that are ours.
Short answer
Jevana's servers stand in a data centre in Hengelo, in Twente. The hardware belongs to Jevana. We rent the space, the power and the connections, and manage the servers ourselves. Client data therefore stays in the Netherlands and falls under Dutch and European law. We measure the status of our services from a server outside that network, and it is public.

Why our own hardware
Most hosting companies rent virtual servers from a large cloud provider and resell them. That is a reasonable business model, but it means there is always another party between you and your data, one you have no agreement with.
With us that layer is not there. What we offer runs on machines we bought ourselves, racked ourselves and look after ourselves. When something goes wrong we know where to look, and we do not have to fill in a form at a supplier.
About usWhat we do not say about it
On the website we do not name the data centre, nor the brands or types of our servers. The first is a matter of restraint. The second is because it does not help you: a specification says nothing about whether someone does the updates.
Nor do we promise an availability percentage. The measurement on our status page began in 2026 and has little history yet. We name a figure only once it follows from that measurement, and then it appears there.
Questions
Where are Jevana's servers?
In a data centre in Hengelo, in Twente. The servers are owned by Jevana and managed by the two of us. Your data therefore stays in the Netherlands. For clients in the region it means their data is literally around the corner. For the rest of the Netherlands, the distance makes no noticeable difference in speed.
Is there a data centre in Enschede or elsewhere in Twente?
There are several data centres in Twente, including Hengelo and Enschede. Jevana uses one in Hengelo. For a company in Enschede, Almelo or Oldenzaal that is at most a few tens of kilometres. In practice you do not notice which town a server is in. You do notice which law it falls under and who manages it.
Why do you not name the data centre?
On the website we stick to the town. The name of the building adds little for a visitor and does not need to be findable by everyone. If you need the name, for a processing register or a client's questionnaire for example, ask for it. You will get it together with the details that belong with it.
What if the data centre itself has an outage?
Then the services running there cannot be reached until the outage is over. Our status page is deliberately on a server outside our own network, so you can still see what is going on. Environments that must not notice such an outage we mirror to a second location. A copy of the backups is kept externally anyway, outside this data centre.
