Hosting and cloud, on our own hardware.

Virtual machines, managed applications and server management on our own hardware. Or in the public cloud, when that suits you better.

The base of everything we do

Everything runs on our own hardware, in a data centre in the Netherlands. If the public cloud suits your situation better, we simply say so. We do the maintenance and the updates. Who does what is agreed in writing before we start.

What you get

Virtual machines

Servers running on our own hardware, not rented from someone else.

  • On our own hardware
  • In a data centre in Hengelo
  • Your data stays in the Netherlands

Managed applications

You use the application. We keep it running.

  • JevanaHub (Nextcloud): a complete collaboration environment
  • Forgejo: Git hosting and CI/CD for development teams
  • Custom applications that we host and maintain
  • Updates and management by us

Server management

Who does what is agreed in advance.

  • Monitoring
  • Updates and maintenance
  • Clear agreements about responsibilities

Backup and restore

A backup you never test is not a backup.

  • Backups to separate storage
  • Restores are tested
  • Retention period agreed in advance

Public cloud

Sometimes the public cloud fits better than our own hardware.

  • Setting up environments in, for example, Microsoft Azure
  • Managing those environments
  • Advice on what fits your situation

On-call and mirroring

Two options for anyone who wants more certainty, both as an agreement in the contract.

  • On-call outside office hours, as an optional paid agreement
  • Mirroring to a second machine is possible, as part of an agreement
  • Not standard, but possible

When you think of this

  • The cloud bill keeps rising and nobody can explain exactly why
  • The developer who built the application has left, and nobody knows how it runs any more
  • Your host has been taken over, and you do not know by whom

Who it is for

For small and medium-sized organisations that want to know where their data lives and who is responsible for it. For web agencies that would rather stop doing hosting themselves. For anyone who wants to move once and have peace after that.

For web agencies

We take over the hosting of your portfolio. You keep the client relationship and the margin.

No lock-in

We work with open source. You can always take your data and configuration to another provider.

Visible to everyone

Our measurement runs all the time. Outages are published on the status page, with an explanation.

Questions

Where are your servers?

Our servers are our own hardware, in a data centre in Hengelo. Your data stays in the Netherlands, on hardware we manage ourselves. That applies to virtual machines and to the applications we host for you, such as JevanaHub and Forgejo. It does not apply to the public cloud: there we set up an environment with, for example, Microsoft Azure, when that fits better.

What happens when the developer who built our application leaves?

We take the application over. From then on we host and maintain it. We find out how it runs, write that down and make sure updates and maintenance sit with us. You no longer need to know how the server underneath works. This applies to custom applications just as much as to JevanaHub or Forgejo.

Are backup and restore included?

Backup and restore is a separate service that you agree on top. We make backups to separate storage, test the restore and agree a retention period in advance. That way you know the backup exists, and that it works when you need it.

Can you also work in the public cloud, such as Azure?

Yes. If the public cloud fits better than our own hardware, we set up an environment with, for example, Microsoft Azure and manage it. We give honest advice on what fits your situation: our own hardware, the public cloud, or a mix of the two.

Is on-call support outside office hours possible?

On-call support outside office hours is possible as an optional, paid agreement in the contract. By default we are available on working days. If you want certainty outside those hours, we put on-call cover in writing in advance as part of the agreement.

Is our environment mirrored to a second machine?

Mirroring to a second machine is possible as part of an agreement. It is not a standard part of every hosting service, but an option we agree in advance if you want that certainty. If there is an outage, the environment can then be switched over to the second machine.

Can we leave if we ever want a different host?

Yes. We work with open source such as Nextcloud and Forgejo, without closed systems of our own. You can take your data and configuration to another provider, or back to your own environment, without rebuilding everything. Being able to leave is exactly why people stay.

Tell us what you run.

An introduction costs nothing. You talk straight away to one of the two people who will actually do the work.
