IT management and hosting in Twente

No news.

We run your IT: workplace, network, hosting and website, on our own hardware in the Netherlands. After that, you don’t hear from us.

On servers we own, not rented from an American cloud. We know which machine your data is on and who can get to it. When one of your clients asks about the GDPR, you have the answer.

All about Magento

One point of contact.

Workplace, network, hosting and website with one party. When something breaks, you don’t have to work out whether it is the provider, the host or the web agency. You email us and we find out.

You talk to Kevin or Mans, the two people who are Jevana. About us

Clear agreements

Before we start, it is on paper who does what, what it costs per month and what happens when something goes wrong. Nobody gets a surprise, us included.

Honest advice

Microsoft 365, open source on our servers, or a mix. We advise what suits you, even if that means you don’t need to change anything.

Microsoft 365 or open source.

We don’t push one harder than the other. You get what fits, and you can switch later.

Files, calendar, mail, video calls and editing documents together, built on Nextcloud. On our own servers, without your data sitting with an American company.

Move once. Then silence.

Drawing of a move: the old server, the trial move and our server rack.

Switching from another supplier feels like a risk. That is why we move in fixed steps, with a trial move before anything changes for good.

  1. Inventory

We map what is running, who has access and which contracts are in place.

  2. Plan

You get it on paper: what moves, in what order and what it will cost per month.

  3. Trial move

We copy everything over and test it with you. The old environment keeps running.

  4. Switch-over

At an agreed moment everything moves. Where possible, the old environment stays a while as a safety net.

  5. Aftercare

We check that everything works. Only when you are happy do we clear out the old environment.

Outages are published. Even when they are not flattering.

Every minute we check whether our services can be reached, from a server outside our own network. If we are down, the status page tells you what happened, how long it lasted and what we are doing about it.

The measurement runs on status.jevana.systems, a separate server outside our own network. If we are down, you will see it there.

Questions about Jevana

What does Jevana Systems do?

Jevana Systems runs IT for organisations: workplace and collaboration with Microsoft 365 or Nextcloud, network and security, hosting on our own hardware, websites and online shops with Magento as a speciality, and advice. You have one point of contact for all of it, and that is the two people who also do the work: Kevin Tieman and Mans Ziesel.

Who does Jevana work for?

Small and medium-sized organisations, starting in Twente. Organisations elsewhere in the Netherlands are welcome too. We also host for web agencies that want to hand over their hosting: we run the servers, the agency keeps the contact with its clients. We only work for organisations, not for private individuals.

Where is my data when I work with Jevana?

In a data centre in Hengelo, on hardware that Jevana owns and runs itself. There is no American cloud company in between, so your data falls under Dutch and European law. If you use Microsoft 365, that data sits with Microsoft, and we say so plainly.

What does IT management from Jevana cost?

That depends on what you need: the number of workstations, servers, a website or online shop, and whether you want on-call cover outside office hours. You get a proposal with a fixed monthly price up front. One-off work, such as a migration or an integration, gets a fixed price in advance, or is charged by the hour when its size cannot be known beforehand.

How do I reach Jevana when something is down?

Email the outage to [email protected]. We are available Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00. Outside those hours, on-call cover is possible as a paid part of your contract. Outages and maintenance are published on our status page, which runs on a separate server outside our own network, so you can still see it when we are down.

Tell us what you run.

An introduction costs nothing. You talk straight away to one of the two people who will actually do the work.
